The pumpkin blog (spooo-ooky)!

Halloween pumpkins can be bought at supermarkets, but sometimes it's fun to pick your own, like here at Anderson Farms, just north of Denver, where there are acres and acres to choose from.
Visit Anderson Farms online at www.andersonfarms.com/ to get information about their a’maiz’ing corn maze and pumpkin patch.

We walked out as far as we could into the field, using my 11-year-old's logic that the best ones are probably farthest from the road. Sure enough, our corner of the patch was full of beauties — and BIG, too!

Then we zeroed in on "the perfect pumpkin."

Since Leigh had to work, Dylan picked out her prize and carried it back to the tractor-drawn wagon.

Our prizes.

My honey and my son, hard at work, scooping out pumpkin guts and getting creative.

The view from within ...

Look out, Ichabod Crane!!!

Finally! Can you guess whose is whose?

What fun! You’ve chronicled a great memory. Is Batman Dylan’s? Is Kitty Leigh’s? Is Sleepy Smiley Bob’s?
yep you guessed it! It was a fun day, and I didn’t even include the pictures of the corn maze.
